Comment Luv gives YOU even MORE Link Luv!
If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed so you don't miss any juicy SEO/Marketing Topics! Thanks for visiting!
Comment Luv is a Wordpress Plugin that shows some love to your commenters by adding a link to their last blog post under their comment. It’s a nice little thank you to your commenters and it’s also an encouragement for them to leave comments.
I think it’s nice to show people a little love back and to give them a little incentive to comment. Personally I love comments and enjoy people interacting on my blogs, so why not say thanks and let them get some luv? A lot of my favorite bloggers use Comment Luv.
Sure you may be concerned about spam but you can install something like Askimet that will catch most of it (I usually scan my Aksimet every few days because occasionally it catches non-spam comments) and are you going to just shut your blog off from the world in fear of spam? Blogs are meant to be interactive so let them take their natural course and help you build and engage with a community. And when others see people leaving comments, it’s encouragement for them to get in involved in the discussion too so don’t be scared of them, embrace them.
But now Comment Luv also gives YOU some more link luv! Install Comment Luv and register at http://comluv.com and you’ll get to create a profile over there AND:
- You can add your site so that every time you comment on a blog that uses Comment Luv you’ll get up to 10 links from chosen sources.
- You get your own blog over there (do you smell MORE links?) Tip: add a blog post and link it back to your site & add yourself to your blog roll.
- You can also purchase credits (really cheap but not necessary) to do some different things like register more sites or choose a static post that you always want to show when you comment on a blog that has Comment Luv installed.
If you’re always looking for new ways to get link juice this is a great way to accomplish 2 things: encourage readers to comment & say thanks to them for doing so AND to get YOURSELF some more link love! Go ahead, it only takes a few minutes to set up and start spreading, and getting, link luv!
And then come back over here and comment on your first Comment Luv enabled blog and get those links rolling!!

I ONLY approved this to make a point about the type of comment you ’shouldn’t’ leave.
How could you possibly have been thinking about me the other day when you don’t know me and I don’t know you? If I didn’t run the type of service I run, and didn’t want to make a point here…no way this would get approved. It’s rubbish, a lie and easy to spot as spam! Mark this in your books as a comment NOT to leave folks!
Had you been smart enough to leave it at “thank you for the great tip”, you might not have been called out =)

Hello, how are you? I genuinely like ur blog! I am wondering if you can assist me (I am certain some other subscribers may also be interested). I want to get into writing a blog also and I at the moment write a blog with wordpress, but it is very difficult for me to create and I would like to try to find several good training materials or courses (preferably ones that are free) that can assist me in using Word Press correctly. As a word press webmaster yourself, do you maybe maybe know where i can find online tutorials to be able to do this myself?? Thanks Alot!

Thanks Ayako =) I have to be frank that I don’t know of any ‘free’ Wordpress tutorials that I would personally recommend. That’s not to say there are none out there, but none that I’m aware of that I would personally recommend (feel comfy saying, ‘hey, it’s great’).
What I CAN recommend wholeheartedly that will teach you how to properly set up and optimize your Wordpress blog, as well as teach you, step-by-step, internet marketing is CM’s IM course (look in my sidebar under Internet Marketing Course). I am involved with that course and it’s the best thing going. There are videos and written tutorials that teach you everything from the beginning – finding a good niche, researching it, installing and optimizing your blog, link building, social networking and more. It’s not free but beyond reasonably priced for the value. That link will give you a 12 day/$1 trial so that you can check out the first 2 modules. I HIGHLY recommend it; and, again am a part of that community myself. I haven’t seen anything else like it on the market.
